So i’m working on this six-pack diet and it’s really hard especially around all these holidays. I have been on it for a week and a half. It is definately a struggle. It’s interesting to say the least when i walk by food and have to say no. But it will be worth it in a few weeks when i have dynamic abs. But i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all if i don’t get to blog by then.
Gonna start out my sports blog... maybe kick start my aspirations for being a sports journalist

So goes the time...
I finally have time to sit here and type my thoughts...So i lay here and wonder if its wrong to question the unknown... the impossible. Or even to question what is certain. If we look through history, we find that the "great" achievers went against the grain and questioned what was even considered definite to the normal individual. As humans, we tend to accept what people tell us, and not to think or step outside of the box. But as in every aspect of life, we can learn from our ancestors. Therefore when you hear something... question it, test it... cause it only takes one incident to disproof any theory. These are my thoughts of September 22, 2009.

Matt Jones' Insight of the Day
so as i sit here and wonder why things are... and i realize that nothing in the past can be changed. If we all could do so, i'm sure all of us would go back and completly redo something. But not given that opportunity, we must make the best out of a tough situation.

Where art thou Sweetest Hibachi Girl... :)
So i find myself blogging after an event that involves a special girl... Earlier today i went to Hibachi Express with my boy miguel... later that evening my family and i decided to take a last second trip to Albany, Ga on September 11, 2009... Since my mother and father are huge Hibachi Express fans, we decided to share this delightful experience with the Mexican cooks at the Japanese Restaurant. So there is this girl that works at Hibachi Express that, yes, i find attractive on many levels.... she has been working there for a while, so we kinda know each other-ish. My father has always joked about He going up to the counter and telling her i like her and such... So as i'm going to choose a booth, my father approaches this wonderul, shy girl... and he's like "Hey, my son came earlier to see you and you weren't here"... and she started blushing (which i love) and was like "Aw, Really?!"... *which i didn't, but it didn't matter... it made me feel great that she seemed so happy because of it* this is a girl that seems to have such a "Sweetheart" type personality...idk this seems stupid but i still haven't gotten her name, much less her number... which if you're reading this... let me know ;) lol. And i vow to get up the "guts" and approach her next time im there... i really want to, and i feel that she likes me (seeming that everytime i look up, she is looking at me and giggly :) And everytime i leave i feel like it's been a failure trip cause i just wanted to get her number really bad. But with her beautiful smile and eyes she always seems to kill whatever confidence i have in going to get her number, cause i just get so "giggly" when i talk to her... but i'm making a promise right now on my blog that i will get her number and i will talk to her. really happy right now even though i STILL dont have her number. (guess its just being able to talk about her :) night everyone

A Tribute to... "The Majick"
As i lay here amongst the troubles and fears of the world... actually just 3 pillows and a blanket, i feel the need to thank one of my best friends... Mason Storm Majick Lebron James Raburn. As a self-conscious middle schooler, coming into highschool was tough. I needed someone (now that i look back) to help me in my self-a-steem. Some may call him arrogant but i call it "Swag" lol... when i first met him in 10th grade (given that i didn't know him on a personal level till senior year) i figured just that... oh, he is just one of those "arrogant assholes" that thinks he owns the world, turns out he is... but thats beside the point. Mr. Raburn's confidence "rubbed off" and was instilled in me, i started to feel more confident and didn't care (as much) what other people thought about me... as i would hang out with him more... i would pick up gestures and "lines" that were key to being confident. Skipping all the way to senior year, where i actually was able to meet the "man behind 4x white tees" i found out that there wasn't arrogance, just profound confidence that inspires others, such as me, to do greater things in life. And now (for the most part) i have no problem talking to stranger (females). And i have what you could call a swagger that only can benefit me when used right. i'm a better man for it. So thanks "Brah"... ;)
p.s. you're still an "arrogant asshole." lol

GGGGrrreeeat Weekend.
So in the time of my last blog i was pondering whether or not to attend the local high school fooball game... my good friend stephanie pratically begged me to go, so i was like why not cause i actually had interest in football teams success (the previous week defeating turner county 39-0). she later text me to inform me that she couldn't attend. So i decided with the help of my good friend miguel that i would attend this crucial event. I arrive at the stadium pumped, ready to watch worth county do their thing. they did their thing alright... just would occasionally forget the football and which they were on. So that whole thing didn't work out for the best but i got to see some great people that i hadn't seen since i graduated. I rode with my boy mason afterwards to get some food... picked a X-X-X-X Large Value meal from the nearby Burger King. I went to my grandad's house later that evening. i could barely fall asleep knowing that the next day was full of incredible football games. I woke up the next morning excited about where the day might lead. well it lead to sitting in the recliner all day and watching some football. lol. I had an amazing day of watching okie state beat down georgia and likewise with alabama to Virginia Tech. That was basically my day saturday. On sunday i woke up to attend my parent's church, i had the priviledge to see my beautiful, most amazing <3 Mandi. :) Well needless to say she made my day. And no major action during my Sunday other than helping my dad with a few things. So this is my post for Sunday. Later...

dAy In ThE LiFe... oF mAtT jOnEs
so i woke up at 5 this morning just to get an ab workout in before school... i know, lame right? well, it felt very beneficial. So on my way to school i remember that i've left my glasses at home which means i can't see the road signs until i'm like 3 ft. away, lol. I get to school and arrive at my first class approximately 3 minutes late. gotta love Mr. Sceals! lol. really didn't pay attention is there today, and i know mason didn't cause the woman had to pratically wake him up... haha. i didn't have my 2nd class that is only offered on mondays and wednesdays. Before stopping by the gym to get some early domination of ping pong... me and mason made the 4 day journey out to the visitors parking lot to get my paddle and balls (ha) then he was like "dude, you can just drive me to my car" so we're off and i turn the ignition and guess who is playing on Q102?? Miley Cyrus... with "Party in the U.S.A."... so i have the grand idea to blare this amazing music as we ride around campus, let's just say there were many people impressed and our eagos went sky high. so we're off to the gym and i just naturally start killing mason at some ping pong (i'm sure he will beg to differ). well i will admit we are more like equal. We continue our matches with moments of greatness such as diving, lunging for the ball... and always fun just hitting it as hard as possible and make the other guy go get it and look like a jackass... we'll then i was off to English 1101, when i arrived there was a beautiful... very rude girl named kirsten in my seat ;). well as i do so well, i politely let her have my seat and took my place... nothing much exciting happen (EXCEPT OF COURSE THAT I SAW STEPHANIE LEE POWELL!). Then it was off to College Algebra, where i have never been more bored in my life. :( but life goes on and i was able to pull through today. went back to show that mason guy what ping pong is all about before heading to do a pretty intense workout with miguel and donnie. (you guys are aewsome) never hurt like that before. lol. then i just decided not to take my daily fast food intake and come home which is where i now reside... dAy In ThE LiFe... of your boy... So i have found out in my life (seeming that my mother is bypolar), that the best thing you can do is listen. I know it sounds so cliche but it is so true in my life. Listening is the key to success. A politician must listen to the "people" to understand what they want and desire (although, they usually don't follow through). An athlete must listen to other players and higher authority in order to achieve that next level. I feel that i don't do this enough and that to become a better friend, family member, and person, I must strive to meet these qualifications. The world JUST might be a better place with listening and not so much talking (gossip... etc.) This is Matt Jones reporting live from Bridgeboro... ;) night everyone

College
So i guess college can be an incredible experience if done with the right people and atmosphere. I love how Darton College just seems so laid back and how everyone is just willing to be nice and friendly. Each day is a new suprise that leads you to meet new people and experience new situations. This is an incredible experience that would not be the same without the jokes of miguel... and the ability of Mason and I to play off of one another's joke accordingly. The Freedom in general speaks volumes since just coming from high school where you were the dog... they were the leash so to speak of course. I look forward to everyday of college which presents itself with many new obstacles and challenges, but also offers a diverse learning facility that is like no other... Night everyone.
